A design consultation that includes wardrobe coaching, styling recommendations, goal setting, and trust building will leave you comfortable and totally prepared for your session day.

We will talk about color, accessories, and how to bring all sides of your personality to the session.

Plan to take a ‘spa’ day, set your hair and makeup appointment with your favorite stylist in the morning, and come to our cozy studio for your session afterwards.

FAQ

Should I have have my hair and makeup professionally done?

You should have your hair cut and colored within two weeks of your session date so it is fresh and healthy looking.

Having your hair done on session day by your favorite stylist will help you feel more confident, look your best, and enhance your experience.  

Professional makeup application will give you a beautiful, natural glow, and even your skin tone.   Avoid wearing makeup that contains SPF as this will look reflective on camera.

How do I choose clothing?

Tailored and well fitted clothing is most flattering.  

Choose clothing that makes your eyes shine.  If you are green-eyed, bring one green top or dress.  If you are blue-eyed, bring something blue.  Brown-eyed people can wear any color.

Will my hands and feet show?

Yes! Make sure your hands are moisturized and your nails are need and painted if you like them that way.  Don’t forget your toes.

What is included with retouching?

Professional retouching can include some or all of these:

  • Reducing shine on face

  • Soften and lighten under-eye 

  • Softening facial lines
